(Exactly like the manga Fruits Basket, or Furuba.)

The Calera family is cursed with the animals of the Chinese Zodiac, meaning that a particular thirteen (Cat too) members of the family have their own animal that they transform into. They only transform when they are put under a great deal of stress, or, of they are hugged by a member of the opposite sex. Few people know of the curse who are not in the Calera family. But anyone who does know is sworn to secrecy, or their memory will be permanently erased.

You can make a character that is a member of the family, a cursed member of the family, or an outsider who knows of the curse. All characters who aren't outside the family must have the last name of Calera. And make sure the animal you're choosing isn't taken already. The animal you're cursed with doesn't have to be you're characters birth year animal.
