Ok, I'm going to teach you all how to make a decent card template. This is really simple template though.
First off, I suggest the GIMP or a hack of it, called GIMPshop. If you have Photoshop, great. You'll pick things up just as easily.

Now first we'll start up the GIMP and create a new image. Keep it around 281x392 at the max. This allows for for templates to be reasonably sized, with legible text.

Creating the colorless template:
1. Hit Ctrl+A to select the whole image space.
2. Right click, and select "Edit" -> "fill with foreground color". This is the border color.
3. Go in approximatly 10 pixels and select that using the rectangle tool up to 10 pixels from the edges.
4. Fill that are with white for now.
5. Hit Shift+O or just z to get a color selecting tool.
6. Select the white area.
7. Use Ctrl with the rectangle tool t remove an area from 30,30 to 250, 175. This is our image box. We'll come to it in a bit.
8. Fill this with a gradient or patern of your choice. Do not anchor this area.
9. Go to "Filters" -> "Decor" -> "Add Bevel". This adds a nice effect.
10. To set up our picturebox, select an area from 33,33 to 249,173. Fill it with magenta. Now, right click it and select "Layer" -> "transparency" -> "Color to alpha". Use your color. Now we have a tranparency to use for images (for management)
11. Add a layer for the textbox. Select an area from 33, 224 to 248, 356.
12. Use the paint bucket tool with 40% opacity to fill that area.

13. Use steps 11 and 12 to create the type box as well.
14. Create a name box on your own using what you learned.

End result should look a bit like this:

That's pretty much it. The data symbols can be made by hand, or you can PM for them if needed. Line them up where ever you feel is the appropriate place. A good default area is along the side. As your skills improve, you'll be able to do more than this simple tutorial.

No, because it'll take too much time for them to create a custom template under the same limitations. :| Maybe I'll do one later.
